Fresh from Cozumel, 43mm goodness. Had one in Jamaica when we were there but wanted $4,600 for it. Got it in Mexico for $3,650. Loving it so far, rides the wrist very well

I think the 43mm 01 is the sweet spot 馃榾

Actually the explorer is quite nice, but like you say, the cost is just too much for what you're getting. Especially when you can get the white dial Aquaracer lookalike for about a third of the price!

I'm not a fan of the white/orange, the one I want is the black dial with the full lume numbers:

This is the pic I had put on the canvas for my friend's birthday...

Nice, I can see that one looking really nice up on a wall!

Rolex in general does not excite me. They may be well made and all but meh. When I saw the photo of the black/gold Yachtmaster I thought I'd finally found a Rolex I could love, but when I actually saw it I was so unimpressed.
Does tudor excite you in any way ?

I quite like the Pelagos, but that's about it. Have to be the black one as well, the blue one is just weird.

I thought I would like the Black Bay Dark, but when I actually saw one it was a horrible shiny thing, ugh!

I've found that there is often a big difference between watches I like online and watches I like in the metal.

Definitely, which is why I am loathed to order the Aquaracer I like without seeing it.

I mean I'll probably end up putting it on a rubber strap.. but I'd like to know if the strap is light as it appears here, or is it more darker and browner like in some other pics I've seen. I'd prefer it to look like it does above really...

I've always been of the opinion that a TAG watch should have a TAG strap, but this looks good... I think these are called Isofit or something?

Gone fishing! - Decided to take the leap and buy the Connected Modular 45 and the mechanical module with black rubber strap. No regrets.

So very true. Luckily, the two 'big' buys I have made based purely on photographs have worked out extremely well. They are Carreras and I already owned one Carrera so I figured they were a fairly safe bet.

Other watches though, such as the Omega Seamaster AT which I love, have never floated my boat when I have tried them on.
