·Wasn't what I was getting at, but.... the irony - the man most famous for wearing the Monaco with the crown on the wrong side (and let's not forget that was a convenient engineering solution and not an 'aide memoire' to the user) wears it on the wrong wrist - thus putting the crown back next to his hand where it belongs!
McQueen is a “rebel”, notorius doing his “hero-antihero” persona. That’s why people think of him as “cool” 😎 Unconventional, to put it simply. He was already an icon of that 60s “counter-culture” era and still lingers on today. Not your typical “prince charming hero” 😜

These are lovely. Are they the sub-39? I’ve been looking at one (the new 39 GMT -I’m a sucker for that 4th hand) for a while, but unsure about how it wears. How’s it wear compared to your glassbox, if you don’t mind me asking?

Apparently there's a new Squale model dropping on 6th May - a collaboration piece. Don't know anything about it as yet, though.

·No, these are the 1521 (50 atmos). 42mm case but it wears very well on a smaller wrist due to the shorter lug to lug and the way the lugs bend down. I haven't tried the Sub 39 but I imagine it wears even better. The Sub 39 has a 48.5 L2L and only a 12mm thickness including the crystal. The GMT looks great, but so does the SuperBlue.

Agreed on the super blue. It’s great! But I tend to gravitate towards black and white exclusively, to my detriment. However, the Hamilton Intra-matic in champagne is starting to persuade me...
Anyways, a 50/50 chance I’ll grab the GMT soon. Unless something teal or pistachio tempts me first 😉 I’ll post pics if it happens!
