ok, I couldn't resist any longer. I now have my favorite Calibre 1887 watch on my wrist!

I remember the first time I saw one of these. I was visiting the TAG Heuer factory a couple of weeks before the Basel show and they were trying to hide away the new collection. I saw one of these SLRs being polished and tried to grab a photo...which I then had to delete! What was immediately obvious was the brilliant dial- quite unlike anything TAG Heuer has done for years.

Love it!!!

And today we have a Carrera on a custom "waxy" leather nato strap.

Mr. Fangio is on the back 😀

New member checking in here! My first "good" watch was a Quartz 1500 that I purchased in 1997. I've since built a nice little collection of mechanicals, but didn't have any Tag Heuers except for the 1500.

I've recently added a 500M to my collection and have been really enjoying it!

It kind of feels like if come "full circle"!

It's not a Carrera. It's not a leather strap. And there's none so far in this thread.

But I'm loving it every moment.
It looks much nicer on the wrist than the official beauty shots.

Looks sharp. I really like the cushion shape of the bezel on the new Link- it's subtle, so most people don't notice it, but it gives a good contrast with the round dial.

I promised DC not to wear my Autavia reissue 😀

In the meantime, here's an alternative take to the Autavia, the Autodromo Prototipo

The inspiration is quite obvious. For a casual, fashionable watch, I say it wears nicely.
It has a "hybrid" Seiko movement, quite reliable.

I think it is made from a Python if I recall it correctly, I bought the strap online 4 years ago in Italy and knew it would look good on a 1000 with a discoloured bezel, here is a picture of it where you can see the complete strap together with the other Wolfies.
