·Off the reservation a bit with this one. Wanted a sporty, casual watch and liked the look of the McLaren edition F1 but started toying with the idea of getting a Shinola. I like the concept of making them in the US, Detroit for a lot of it actually, and decided if I'm gonna spend TAG money then I'll stick to automatics. For a quartz I decided to give the Shinola a try. Just got it yesterday but so far really like it. Has a nice solid feel, looks & feels good on the wrist, easy to see. I picked up some NATO straps for it as the (non-configurable at purchase) bright red rubber strap is a bit much most of the time.

·I managed to increase the collection again over with the holidays with the addition of a Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 6 RS (WAV511C). The level of quality over the Carrera in both look and feel is very noticeable. I especially like the bracelet which feel very solid while being extremely conformable. The Rotating System also makes it stand out from the crowd.
