Keep the seals and movement lubricated, battery and seals fresh and you have a watch for your whole life! My dad beats the crap out of his, but still going strong and looking nice after 15 years
Wow Alex, never seen that before. Looks like an Autavia case...but what is the brand? Vratislavia? What's their story?
I've got a blue Vratislavia on pre-order. Already flipped a yellow one. That green one has a Seiko mechaquartz chronograph movement. The watches are quite cheap (190 usd from Poland) but are great value for what you get. Ordering is through their Facebook page.
A one man show run by a Polish enthusiast out of his home. The watches are made in small batches (200-400) on a pre-order basis. I really don't know how he can do such low volumes, sell at such a low price and still earn a profit.
Probably because Ali Baba is full of case manufacturers that will make you 200-400 of any design you supply for about $1-2/unit. The quantity of those pocket watch conversions flooding eBay is down to them also.
Love the passion, but that case is an exact copy of an Autavia and the Silver dial is almost the same as the Jack Heuer Carrera 80...would have been better to do a SevenFriday and at least modify the case you're using into something new. Is it the same size as an Autavia?
The case measures 42mm. The curvature of the lugs is slightly greater than an Autavia 1163 case. I don't have 11630 or 11063 cases to compare. I bought the green dial because I think it looks good and it will never be mistaken for a Heuer. Like I said, great beater.
Got this as a half-century gift to myself, thinking it was a one-time thing. But I'm thinking my brother and this forum are seriously bad influences..
Well that's different, haven't seen a TAG Heuer with applied arabic markers like that before, very cool guilloche dial too!
I take full responsibility for my actions.. while reserving the right to blame you and my brother! Thanks, Carrera Calibre 6 Heritage.
@automobilia42 : The serrated ridges around the bezel and obnoxiously-busy face reminds me of a Breitling Navitimer.
Love it, the pilot will always be one of my fave watches, I love the over complicated dial and bezel. Awesome !
