Officially as of today, i am Heuer01less...

Near the end of last year i sold my 43mm Heuer01...never thought i'll be selling another.

But watch collecting is like a transformation for me. I was a beginner once with much of trial and error

Over the time, my taste in watch changed. The shape of what a grail watch for me slowly become concrete idea.

That is fast forwarded until today. Finally i got the chance to acquire vintage diver that i really wanted. I thought at first i would never meet one ever and would settle for Tag Heuer 1000.

But i found it finally...and the timing couldn't be much worse...so i look at what are my option of the fastest sale. My Rolex already sold, (to fund Universal Geneve plus Omega) that was the most liquid watch i had before.

So with heavy heart i look at my Heuer01...that's it...

But the story didn't end here. The buyer have a very mint first generation reedition Autavia...

In conclusion, i came home Heuer01less....with Heuer 844-2, Autavia and little bit of cash...

I will miss that Heuer01 after almost 4 years together...

Joking aside, big congrats to the new additions! We have talked a lot about H02 last months and I am happy that you beat me to it. Maybe I need to trade my H01 for an Autavia 馃榿

Will you get the awesome rice bracelet for the Autavia as well?

Yeah i was surprised. But i am more surprised that i was able to let go of the H01. Knowing that it already be discontinued and i was gonna keep it as part of archive. 馃憥

That 844-2 really changes everything...

I have a feeling we will be H02 brothers as well
Not at the moment, it will be super expensive to get it straight from Tag Heuer Boutique in my country.
I think i'll wait for when i go to singapore. They sell there at better price.
But i am gonna look for a strap and keep the original strap unused. Because...that just what i always did with used watch. Even though it looks like the previous owner barely used it at all.

Now, is anyone knows what lug to lug size of Autavia ? I hope it's common size. I am gonna get hirsch or something.

Congrats. I think this is a positive trade overall.
If i could resist the Autavia it will be much bigger positive 馃榿

Nice catch(es!) I love both.
What surprised me is the Autavia.

I admit i wasn't blown up by it when it first released. But i guess it kind grew on me over the year.

I was almost get a Tudor Pelagos instead of the Autavia. A lot nicer box, extra strap, cheaper price than the Autavia as well. The only thing is that the Tudor was blue bezel blue dial and blue is not my favorite color.

Maybe someday i'll trade this H02 Autavia for vintage Autavia Diver. That would be awesome !

I love to take the bracelet out every now and then and marvel at it's beauty but on the watch it's just too much for me. A lot of bling and on my small wrists it just looks too big. I think it'll stay bnib in my case.
