What’s your Beater?

Not intended to duplicate, I did a search and could not find a thread dedicated to this topic I know we have the ‘on your wrist’ thread, but that covers all. I’m after a (relatively) cheap but respectable ‘beater’ watch. So thought it would be fun to ask others to post up their pics.

Dont know about respectable but these are my beater watch...to go to the airport.

Normally i just use all of my watches in rotation. There are no safe queen in my collection.

Quartz stainless aquaracer, smart enough for the office, tough enough for life. Arguably the only watch I need.

I'm very rarely without a chrono, but don't worry about respectability.

No sunshine this evening though 🙁

All my watches are treated with respect. My least valuable are the most readily sacrificed. I've got some old self winding Invictas as well as my Hamilton seen below. The quartz watches have all long ago stopped running needing battery replacements.

Today it’s this one.

Ignore the strange reflection at 12 o’clock position, nothing there.

The Hamilton is very good looking !

Thanks; I like the Hamilton. It has a very vintage look to it!!! It also has Harrison Ford's signature on it.

What a great thread. For me it has to be this-my Bond Seamaster.

I bought it new in 2002 and literally wore it 24/7 for 13 years-I obviously wanted to get my money's worth!

After that I was bitten by, sorry, feasted upon by the Heuer bug. My faithful Seamaster now sits in rotation with it's various friends but will always be my first real watch and one that has served me flawlessly.

My Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is a great all rounder, and goes with a suit or shorts and t-shirt. It was my first decent/proper watch and was an inspired purchase I must say.

I was sat next to a guy on a plane who was wearing one of those, very smart looking thing. Looking at your picture, it's making me think it's an alternative for the Explorer that I want.

Used to own one. It's a lovely watch but I sold it to fund my Explorer and don't regret that for a second. The Explorer is much more comfortable to wear as well.
