Watches you can't work out if you really like or not...

Today I am wearing my Senna F1, and sometimes I think I like it, sometimes I think I really like it and sometimes I think I don't like it at all and I should sell it. I think it's partly the dumb 'phantom' lume 12 and 6 that gives me doubts, and honestly I don't have the 'emotional' attachment to Senna that a lot of you guys do. But I think the strap is super cool though, and was really what attracted me to it in the first place (since I was never going to buy a Man Utd F1) and I also really like the silver bezel against the black case.

So do you guys have any watches that you are constantly undecided on, did you sell them, did you regret it?

I was actually looking at the more recent Senna lines, and I stopped to really look at the strap on that one. Obviously inspired by the Link ("Legend") bracelets & tire treads, it really is eye-catching. I can't say I really like it though. The watch itself is bold - with that silver bezel you mentioned, it looks like a machined engine part.

I had a Link quartz a long time ago and while I love the overall aesthetic of polished on top of brushed steel, and adore the Link bracelets, I really don't like the standard bezel on top of it all (one reason I like the CT511B, and the newer series). Bicolours are far more aesthetically pleasing, especially the Senna S/El, but on the all-stainless ones? It just feels out of place.

So ironically, I was asking myself just today just exactly where I should post my new addition…and this thread pops up…

A very good condition Formula 1 WAH1113, FT6025 which I received just yesterday. I didn’t think I would stumble across one of these very often (even posted for it in Marketplace) but I saw this on eBay and snapped it up. I am very happy with the communication, response, and especially and quality of the piece (near mint, better than the pictures).

Never understood my attraction to this one. I know for some it is against the grain but I have a soft spot for very unique green and red faces – this watch fits that bill, although more uniquely than many, I think. A great two color lume as well. A collection piece.

Looking for a 6000 Quartz (CH1112, BA0675) next…

Best to all, M.

Love it! I had the black dial version of this and always wondered what the khaki one would be like. Lume is great on this watch too... kinda miss it.

Most modern tags.

I know what you mean.

For me, it is my 43mm Carreras, particularly the model with an external tachymetre, but only after I have been wearing a 41mm modedl with the internal tachymetre.

I have been having a hard time bonding with this one Seiko SBDC101. Specs wise it should be a perfect watch for me but most times I find myself wearing it just because I haven’t in a while. It’s a very nice watch, just maybe not for me. The new Aquaracer may be the watch to replace it. We’ll see soon...

Hmmm there is one that i can think of at this very moment. I still have the watch until now. It was vintage Universal Geneve Polerouter. I like the idea of anti magnetic watch and micro rotor. But for some reason, I owned 2 of em (one which i already sold) gosh it was so hassle to maintain. Like the movement is not meant to last forever. Makes me feel like the while concept of micro rotor is actually just a gimmick and not something more advanced. This one is already due service again, but i don't go out much since pandemic so i'll just keep it at standby. If i can sell it at the price i bought it, i will...
