Just saw a profile of the Tudor BB Pro in the W&W video. It's pretty thick man... I would need to try it but this might ruin the whole affair.
Unless they are just discontinuing it so they can bring it back again with a new (C11) movement in a year or two?
Yeah. That would be my hope, along with anniversary Limited Edition(s) for next year's Carrera 60th. At this time, I have not received solid confirmation of any new Heritage (Heuer branded) edition in the pipeline.
Now available to purchase, but the deliveries will start 07/27/2022. https://www.tagheuer.com/us/en/time...r-aquaracer/45-mm-th30-00/WBP5A8A.BF0619.html
Yes, the Super Diver movement (TH30-00) is made by Kenissi and it's also used by Breitling, Tudor, Chanel and others. Here are some comparison pictures.
Yes, 14.6mm as I noted here: https://tagheuerforums.com/threads/other-watches-other-brands.81893/page-148#post-1964389 About the same as a glassbox Carrera, but I fear the BB Pro might feel more slab sided.
The famous numbers worn by Gulf Porsche are 20, 21, 22 and also 1 & 2. There are other numbers but not 60, so it's a bunch of baloney. The famous numbers worn by the Gulf GT40 are 6 & 9, it wore other numbers too but again no 60. The Gulf Mirage was the last of the Le Mans winners, it wore 11 (the sister car 10). None of the famous Gulf livered cars that I know of ever wore 60.
Obviously if TAG really wanted to pay tribute to the Gulf Porsche that McQueen (err Delaney) drove, they should've used 20 like I did in my concept art. The 60 has no meaning that I can think of, other than 60 seconds.
