Thinking of getting a wind but during my research I've found that some have TPD* rating, so how can I find out what my TH requires, main use will be for calibre 11 Monaco or my calibre 16***Carrera. The info must be out there but Google doesn't like me today.** * turns per day. ** OK Google awake, seems 800 tpd seems to be recommended, will it do harm if I select a winder that does more? *** Got the loupe and decided that the 8 was in fact a 6!
Found this too thanks, looks like the winders I’ve looked at are larger TPD than needed yet these are the same as what the AD sell. Might just stick to hand winding and time resetting when changing wrist wear.
The Wolf models I’ve seen are 800tpd, turn clockwise or anti cw, or both ways giving 1600 tpd, TH say only 650 tpd are needed. Cheap ebay stuff don’t often quote enough data, is anything easy now.
My Boxy watch winder could work for you. I wrote a short report here: https://forums.calibre11.com/threads/precision-for-an-automatic-watch.120590/#post-1616005 This is the info about the settings:
I noticed this thread so I didn't want to create a new one because I need advice on the subject too. I'm a proud owner of Tag Heuer Aquaracer (ref. WAY2012.BA0927) and I'm looking for my first watch winder. My budget is $500. https://timepieceking.info/best-watch-winder-for-tag-heuer-watches/ - does anyone own or owned any of the models/brands listed in this article and if so, which would you recommend? I'm a complete noob when it comes to winders so would really appreciate if you could give me some clues.
