Watch Reference #'s

Hello,

I've noticed that some watches have a -# next to the reference number. For example:
CAP2112-0

Does the -0 imply anything like a B stock or refurbished piece?

I've posted a photo example as well.

Thanks.

Hi. No, it's not a sign of lesser quality- it's when a small modification is made to a watch. For example, on the Monaco a few years ago "-0" was added to the reference number when they slightly moved the position of the pin holes in the lugs so that a bracelet would fit. It wasn't worth giving the watch a new reference number, but it does mark out a slight mod.

More recently, the 41mm Carrera 1887 is now sold with "-4" as there have been several modifications to that series since its 2010 launch.
