Heuer Calculator 110.653 with Beechcraft (Aircraft Co.) logo. Pricey at US$7,200 tho
And yes, the caseback is engraved to match the airplane's registration number.
That's cool-I didn't know about the caseback engravings! 👍

Makes no sense. Overpolished as well.

A more "affordable" Heuer Carrera Ref-1158 in gold for US$24,000
Call me old-fashioned, but in that price range I’d expect the seller to change the crystal first, before taking the pictures 😉

That aside, I’d wear either one of them gold Carreras… I must be getting old 😁

Beautiful barrel-case Carrera! I think these will start to get some love finally as 1970s style is starting to come back into vogue. The colors of these dials (both the blue and fume) are really lovely in person.

Agreed. These “côtes de Genève” dials strike a great balance between lively and classy.

They’re just super difficult to photograph… 😉

You've got a real beauty and a pretty damn good shot of it here too, congratulations👍 Is this an NSA or aftermarket bracelet? Unusual to see this for me, although I do like the pairing. Makes it look kinda Montrealish...😉

A pair of late 1960's dashmount timers--a pretty rare 24 hour Master-Time and a Sebring split-second timer.

It’s a Heuer bracelet and I believe it to be period correct; but IIRC the 110.573 never came on those but rather on “Flat Oyster” bracelets or rubber (for the later years of commercialization)…

I’m not sure which 70s Heuers used my bracelet nor what it’s exact name is; but I do think that Abel called it an “NSA”, too. Originally, it had a 19mm lug width and it uses a spring-loaded clasp (super comfy - Why did the industry stop making these?).

OK. Apologies for my ignorance 😟 but I instructed myself in the meantime (and had a look at the underside of the clasp 😉)

So it is indeed an original NSA bracelet - officially Heuer-branded and of similar design and with the same clasp (spring-loaded and finely striped) that at least Zenith and JLC also used back in the days.

I’m still not sure where it originally came from, except from a Heuer watch with (probably…) 19mm lug width. From poking around a bit it actually looks to me like Montreals came with an NSA that used beefier links closer to the lugs and smaller ones closer to the clasp (as did the Zenith EP TV Screen); in contrast, the links of my NSA are of the same size all along.

Normally, my OCD would probably prompt me to hunt for the correct flat oyster bracelet, but - TBH - this NSA integrates well enough (IMHO) and is so insanely comfy (especially now that Bucherer was nice enough to move one link from 6h to 12h) that I feel absolutely no need to change anything right now.
