I'am not collecting watches, but I own this Autavia. (And I wear it daily, too.)
I inherit this watch as a child when my father died on an car accident 1979. In the eighties I prefer more swatch, that's fit better to a teenager. The Autavia was stored in a small metal pipe tobacco box.
This tobacco box safed the watch at a burning of my home 1991. Only the Plexi Cristall was deformed and later replaced. Also the original crown is replaced.
At 1999 I started to wear this watch as my daily timekeeper. The Autavia gets every 4 years a revision.
For practical reasons I search for a saphir dome, but I don't know if something exists for this watch.
