Way too small for you Hubert! But yes a stunning piece. I do find the Hodinkee the best re-edition Carrera of the past years. A clean dato would look stunning but I’m losing hope.

If the proportions are right and there is no visibility lost from the crystal, the diminutive size is not a deal breaker, though I do prefer a larger size.

That said, this picture perfectly illustrates how the original's strong masculine presence and the sharp angles of its lugs were softened and distorted, making the new one look like a bad copy. Finally, I find it very sad that the subtle Caribbean blue tones of the original dial were completely lost on the Hodinkee homage. 🙁
