Hi all. New to the forum and new to Vintage Heuer having mostly collected Omega in recent years. Would those more experienced than me give a view on the following. I am interested in the piece in this link - a Heuer Bundeswehr 3H.

http://www.chrono24.com/en/heuer/bundeswehr-3h-chronograph-flyback--id3124872.htm

I have read numerous articles and postings about the variations in the dials of the Heuer Bund, most neatly summarised by Manning's work on brown-snout.com. I recognise the piece in the link looks in near perfect condition and is most likely to be what Manning refers to as 'real' rather than 'authentic'. That I am broadly fine with. I do however have a query about the size of the Heuer logo relative to others i have seen. Any thoughts on this or the watch in general?

Yes, you've found what I think is the best Bund article on the web: http://brown-snout.com/horology/articles/heuer_bundeswehr_chrono/

The watch looks to be in very nice condition and the logo similar to examples on the site above.

The challenge with these watches is that the dials were often/ always changed when they were serviced. In fact, this is how Sinn began- he won the service contract to repair and service the bund watches and after a while decided that he would add a nice new dial with a Sinn logo to the watches instead of Heuer. Jack Heuer told me this story one day- he was not amused!

So because of this, we see more variations in Bund dials than we do for other Heuer models
