Why thank you David!
Getting this was an adventure. I wanted something new or as close to new as possible. While searching other forums, I found someone in the UK who claimed had bought one in 2009 and will willing to sell it for a "reasonable profit". I reached out to this person, but he never responded. Looking some mere I found two in France; one sold while I was doing my research, while the other seller never responded to my questions.
That's when I started searching the retail network. I found a couple of Authorized Tag Heuer dealers in Europe who still had one. The first had "lost the box" when they moved their shop, but the second one was intact. A few phone calls later, a wire bank transfer, and international duties, it arrived. Due to the exchange rate (non-Euro), the original MSRP price remained, so it was not too bad.
If there is ever a 50th Anniversary edition in 5 years; I will jump on it from the start, since these are truly collectors items.
