Thoughts/recommendations for 3-hander or GMT TAG

Hello esteemed forum-

After spending time with the twin time I inherited from my father, I’ve come to love the Carrera three hander/GMT style.

I’ve been looking at the WS 2113, the black GMT, as well as the silver and black faced three handers. Photos of all three below, not mine of course.

First, I wanted to see if anyone who has anyone of these three can give honest measurements, lug to lug, width, and thickness.

Also, wanted to solicit your advice on other deep cuts from the tag heuer/heuer back catalog that I should take a look at instead or in addition. I tend to prefer smaller watches. 38 MM is my absolute ideal, though I tend to go as small as 36 and prefer nothing over 39. Narrow window, I know.

Anyway, any help with measurements or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you from San Francisco!

I'll get you measurements tomorrow, it's nominally 36mm. It is a really small watch but wears beautifully if you have small wrists.

If you are into 3-hander with date ONLY without GMT, i would definitely recommend this one.

Case size 39mm so it is just right the maximum of your preference.

I really like this model but the date piercing through the subdial kills it for me. If it hadn't been for that I would definitely have 1 to compliment the JH80TH.

Not to mention the horrid CAL. 6 location on said subdial. But still, it has a charm to it

From my own experience was...let's just say it's a different watch when we see it in real life 😉

But yeah, surely there are rooms for improvement. Tag Heuer is notorious for almost never listen to customers (< no offense to anyone who think otherwise, but some would agree for sure) 😜

Thanks, @dtf ! Let me know when you can! Looking at some wrist shots, it looks great, but I’m wondering for my 7-inch wrist.

These two have been in my radar. TAG Heuer, 3-hand, GMT 👍👍
That black twin time is lovely. At the end of the day, I might end up with a black one to match my white one! You prefer the 39 or the 41 mm?

This was my first TAG Heuer. I looked long and hard at various GMT options from various manufacturers but was always drawn back to the simplicity and clarity of the Carrera Twin Time. It really is gorgeous.

I prefer the 41mm, it’s cleaner for me and the logo is applied and not printed. Bezel profile is also slimmer. And 41mm is also not that big TBH. I would get the black dial on a leather strap or the white one in steel bracelet 👍

I would wait a couple of weeks to see if a brand new twin-time Carrera is magically presented 😗

Having tried both on, the black dial looks a lot nicer on the wrist than the anthracite, which looks kinda muddy on the wrist. The twin time is a lovely watch, I'm not sure why I haven't bought one yet.

49mm skeleton twin time?

I think you will be disappointed, I heard around 40 mm

I'm listening. I still haven't found my perfect gmt watch. It's less of an issue because covid has killed my travel, but Im still kinda looking for the right gmt. The closest I have come is the omega planet ocean deep black, but they're £10k

The new one is gorgeous, but very different from that Omega of course

That's fine, I don't *just* like modern dive watches 😀

Thanks for the photos and details! It's an absolutely lovely piece! I may very well bite your style and pick one up. (Waiting, of course, the next few weeks to see what rises to the surface as well...) I'd never seen that MB before either!!!

There's a great Omega DeVille GMT that I also love: https://www.chrono24.com/omega/omeg...el-automatic-chronometer-2001--id19387669.htm

Any other traveler's watches that jump to mind? Happy to exploit y'all's wisdom.
