This catalogue sees the arrival of the second Monaco 24, it always surprises me that the grey/orange came before the black/silver or blue/white models, I always think of it as the last of the four.

As for the Historique, I know what you're saying, but obviously the catalogue items are all together and as long as it's in the right era I am happy with that. There's probably other instances of things being 'out of order' but as I've no way of knowing I don't want to get too tied up with it.

 

I think that is a first new generation Monaco Review.

Thanks guys.... I've just finished the 6000 Series, which has been an absolute nightmare. I started it last year and kept putting it back because I couldn't finish it. There are I think ninety 6000 Series, that's 90 unique watch 'heads'.... there are also over 100 different straps available, which is absolutely CRAZY! It didn't make it any easier that TAG Heuer had a tendency in some catalogues to show a picture of a watch and then put two numbers next to it... and it also didn't help that in two catalogues they showed a strap but then put a different strap number next to it. For every watch, not just one or two. And then in the next catalogue they changed the pictures but they also changed the numbers, so they were wrong again - talk about incompetent!

Wow, you put the boot into the Code 11.59! IMO, the watch community will look back on the Code 11.59 in years to come and wonder why they bashed it so much. I think it is a marvellous watch.

 

You may be right... in the long run. I didn't mind the chronographs, but the three hander dials had the slightest whiff of microbrand about them.

I am also wondering, why they say, titanium would not scratch as much as steel. The clasp of my 1st gen connected showed signs of wear extremely fast. Maybe not scratches like deep scratches, but scratches. Maybe it's depending on the grade of titanium?

Some of you may remember that I told you about a couple of Kiriums that came into BV a few months ago. There was a silver/white dial quartz chrono and an F1 Kirium on a rubber strap. At the time I thought they would never sell, what with being like 15 years old and £2000+. But they have, they've both been sold.... incredible.

 

If you are wondering what those things are on the bezel of the Heuer 2000 in my avatar, so am I. I'm pretty sure they are ball bearings though... like on the outer edge of the bezel on the 3000 Series.
