Merry Christmas from this newbie too! I have been made very welcome over this past year and learnt an awful lot, whilst being thoroughly entertained throughout.

Wishing everyone a better 2023, with some needing it more than others currently. Sincerely hope next year brings better fortunes for those who have had a challenging time of late.

 

Dressed like a fokkin Christmas king

 

Ok, it’s not a TAG Heuer, or worth anything at all to anyone but me. Had this in the drawer for many years, after my Grandfather passed, but have not worn it until today. It’s dinged, scratched and corroded a bit on the rear, but I finally got around to putting a new battery in, giving it a spruce up and replacing the bracelet with a navy leather strap. If it was good enough for the guy chosen by the Queen to drive her train on a regular basis, then that’s certainly more than good enough for me. Starting to understand the silver dial thing now.

 

That’s a wonderful history for such a special and cherished timepiece, @bpsmith. Wear it in good health.
