She's got some interesting points. Mirrors my feelings about the current situation at TAG. I remain hopeful, but also worried about where young Frederic might be taking the brand.

Well, I doubt we'll see her in any LVMH events.

    Doesn't mince her words.
Not sure she should be questioning the validity of the CEO's credentials.
Remember that Frédéric did an apprenticeship under Stepane Bianchi.
It was only when he said Frédéric was ready that he was made CEO.

Everyone has an opinion and that's fine. I too was doubtful in the beginning but after seeing what Frédéric has done so far and speaking to him about some new releases I have more confidence in where things are headed.
    And that's just my opinion.

    I totally agree with her.

Since 2002, I have bought 62 new Tag Heuer watches. I had the chance to visit all the factories in Switzerland twice (in 2015 I was invited directly by Jean Claude Biver and and 2019 I was invited by Guy Semon with 9 other people from another watch forum).

Today I still have 2 in my collection and after owning all the latest and new models, I realise that the ones I like the most, the ones I am buying back or about to buy back, are old models.

I bought a Carrera 1887 chrono (CAR2110) because it is the only chronograph that is not 42 or 43 or 44 or 45mm, with a manufacture movement (that is not ETA or worse, Sellita) and with the date.

And I have an Aquaracer 500m GMT (WAK211A) which is in an ETA movement (not that Sellita shit) and is not 43mm (or 45mm like the Superdiver).

I'm thinking of buying a Link Calibre 36 again.

I'm 42 and Tag Heuer has been my dream since I was 20 years old (I bought my first Tag Heuer in 2002, a Link Chrono automatic).

The Tag Heuer watches I like the most are from the years 2000 to 2017.

Quite amusing and watchable, but with no real facts to add other than what we all know, and she missed/ignored the fact that Biver introduced the Connected. It feels like the brand has had a string of misses recently, from the three hand Autavia, the new Autavia chrono, the $1500 generic Chinese smart watch and the 43mm circular cyclops. Maybe I’m just passing into my post-tag era?

I like the naming of the Nepotism Era, I think that will stick.

I will watch this later on but I feel TH malaise and confused roadmap has been for longer than current CEO tenure.

    Who can be a fan?

All my Aquaracers with Sellita have gone through after-sales service (I had 8 of them).

All my Monaco Caliber 11 too (6 times in after-sales service).

And my father's Monaco Gulf Caliber 11 too (2 new exchanges + 8 times in after-sales service including 2 exchanges of the complete movement).

This is true imo as well. I didn't think much of the Biver era either.

Now I know you may be in the minority (and look to have very bad luck) plus many Selitta Monaco/ Aquaracer members having no issue. But that is one of my concerns regarding TH especially (bleating the same boring drum) the Monaco I'm planning to purchase after Christmas (impending baby #2) but I also like the grey man Carrera (thinking a nice wedding gift watch).

This is why I still flip with the sapphire Speedy 3861 (although might be a 40th bday gift in a few years instead)

Unfortunately, I don't think I'm a unique case/have particularly bad luck considering the experiences of other members of this forum + other watch forums I follow + the information I have directly from Tag Heuer ;)

Well, me. I have 50 TAGs in my possession, not passing through. I've had very few problems, except the obvious Aquaracer crown.

This is the same woman who stole Wendovers Productions 'How the Art Market' works and basically remade it as 'How the Watch Market works'. I have zero respect for her or her opinions to be honest. At least she didn't parrot the usual anti TAG rhetoric that what the average TAG customer really craves is 36mm BiCompax chronographs with salmon dials.

Can't convince much more than to say that my 2018 Cal.11 Monaco is working perfectly as a daily wearer, with my 2001 ETA 2894-2 Monaco working just as well.

"I hate Nepotism", that last statement sums up the intent of this hit piece. It's a bit opportunistic considering the "Nepotism / Connected era" basically just started in mid-2020, in the peak of Covid.
