Here's an oldie but goodie, "The Duel". How many of you remember this?

Made to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Monaco. I got a kick out of this video 14 years ago, still enjoy it today although it seems a bit corny now.

You keep it Steve, we're in the future now 馃憤
LOL. Ironic as the Monaco LS has since been discontinued, while the McQueen lives on.

Ha, this did not age well.

Why is it any video more than 10 years old looks like ****?

Look at blu ray v dvd, digital v film, advances in technology and screen improvements, most things advance, except maybe not watches though, clockwork mechanisms rule.

The video doesn't even look HD. That technology did exist in 2009, go figure? 馃槙

Thankfully, they were also celebrating the 40th Anniversary Monaco (CAW211A). 馃グ

The 40th has the better dial, when compared to the Production version.

Yes that video was one of the reasons I lusted after the 40th in that era, but $10k was just too much to spend for me. Hence I happily settled for my CAW211B Vintage Grey C11.

Ironic, soon there shall be no Monacos below 10 馃槣
It was too much to spend on a Monaco then and still too much now, even with 14 years of inflation.

However, I could probably justify paying that much for the 40th if I tried hard enough. Can't say the same for any other modern Monaco.

This picture illustrates the difference in the dials. The production (P on the left) has a more porous dial than the 40th (A on the right).
