OK, thinking about the mention of a heritage diver coming up in the cards from TAG, it's very exciting to imagine what might be. This being TAG, I have scant confidence they'll get it right ( ) so I wanted to open a thread with a couple fun ideas. My first is the Night Diver we've been discussing in the WRUW thread. Yes, TAG reissued (and bungled) the night-diver in the quartz-only WAY108A but they reallly could have done better. So I took a swing: This one wouldn't even need to be re-engineered. Same 43mm Ti-PVD case as commonly available now; same Calibre 5 movement just without a date wheel. Think I may take a stab at a Monnin version sometime too. Who else has some ideas? @Ara ?
How about the one worn by Timothy Dalton inspired by 007 James Bond’s The Living Daylights From Calibre 11 archives (2010) https://www.calibre11.com/bond-tag-heuer/
I think my render is pretty close, I'm thinking "quick and easy version of the current Aquaracer" rather than a 1:1 reissue but I started this thread hoping to see other people try their hand at mocking up ideas! So please go ahead and put one together, I'd like to see it
I had fun with something like this a bit back with the PVD Formula 1 case.* https://www.instagram.com/p/BimtBe7HtOO/ *apologies, but had I like using the Heuer logo because as a designer, to me, the TH logo isn't as strongly proportioned as the heritage logo. It looks good in monotone on a wall or a Porsche engine hood, but on a small watch face it's not as bold in my opinion. (plus the TH logo reminds me of home plate for all you baseball fans)
