TAG Heuer won me over...

I purchased my first TAG Heuer watch about a year ago. It was an original Connected watch. I liked the watch and fell in love with the brand. Sold it a few months later to buy a Connected 45. I need it to be water proof and liked the idea of easy swappable bands (I own five...). And I felt the urge to add a "real" TH watch to my collection. And it happened today as I finally got my Calibre 16 Day-Date. 🥰

Well done TAG Heuer! 😁

Congrats; this is certainly one of the most popular models.

The Carrera is one of the most beautiful watches out there.
Certainly the greatest lugs.

I saw that carrera in the metal for the first time last month, really taken with how smart and subtle it is.

I don't think it's that subtle. I saw someone on the train wearing one yesterday and it looked massive! 😀 Nice, though - as elbeik says, those lovely Carrera lugs are unmistakable.

Already own an automatic TH chronograph, but really to pick up the Connected Modular 45 when I'm travelling to a country with slightly better currency rate. Still struggling if I should buy a smartwatch (still for a considerable amount of money for me) or if I should save up for a pre-owned Milgauss. Oh, decisions...

I love TH (in case anyone haven't notice), but pre-owned Milgauss VS smart watch...you know what my pick is. But in my experience, i think even pre-owned Milgauss is still more expensive than brand new TH Connected.

Tough decision. Both are lovely. If i have to wear smart watch, TH would be my only choice.

A Milgauss is around €5000 and the Connected are around €1800 if I'm not mistaken. The Milgauss is certainly a really cool watch and definitely my next mechanical watch.

Not sure if I really "need" a smartwatch, but would be nice to try one, a few years after they really came into the market and then the Connected feels nice. No idea if I would use it though, so I'm trying to look around for pre-owned Connected whenever I have some time over.

Are you aiming for the green sapphire Milgauss or other Milgauss ? Rumor has it, Rolex discontinuing their white Milgauss recently, so there's spike in demand.

What I've heard is that everything except the green sapphire models (black and blue dial) are discontinued by now. I've tried on all models at different occasions, but have landed in black dial with "normal" glass is my favourite. An AD sells this for around €5000 and GV references tend to start a bit higher.
