While cleaning my Formula 1 watches earlier I was surprised to see they have different Tag Heuer Logo's.. Are logo's an indication of year of manufacture? Thought these two would have been identical..

Thanks

Yep, the logo was updated a couple of years ago. Someone more knowledgeable can chime in here and pinpoint the year.

They are still producing watches with the old logo, they only get the new logo when the model is revamped - obviously new models have the new logo, but if you look in a jewellers window you will see plenty of old logos still for sale.

Thank you for clarifying, appreciate it. The CAZ2010 must be older than the CAZ2012.

Is there any way to find a manufacture date? Perhaps through serial number?

Don't think so.... with older models your best bet is to look in the catalogues, but nowadays the catalogues are useless and the website tells you nothing either.

Okay, so I found out some more info.

The CAZ2010 (old logo) is listed as a 2014 model and the CAZ2010/0 has the new logo (but there's no date available on the system)

The CAZ2012 (new logo) was 2016, but there was a CAZ2012/0 which also has the new logo - but again no date. So something else must have changed to warrant the new part number???

But some watches, like CAY1110 for example are still 'current' models but are shown as 2014 and are only available with the old logo. So either the dials were all made in 2014 before the logo change, or possibly the watches themselves were made in 2014.
