TAG Heuer Link - problems...

My Tag Heuer Link developed a surprising fault. The frame of the date indicator window came loose and is now stuck on the seconds dial. See the photo.

The watch is only 3 years old and has been used normally. It has been repaired under warranty once for replacing the knob (did not close).

In addition, the watch usually stops if I lay it on my bedside table for more than 10 hours.

Has anybody had similar issues with the Link? I must say I am quite disappointed with the quality of my watch.

Hi
When you say it is only 3 years old, this seems odd as it has been discontinued for a long time before that. It's possible it was old stock though. Where did you buy from and who repaired it before?

Date windows often use a small amount of adhesive to attach them to the dial which can degrade, leaving it vulnerable to the right shock and becoming dislodged. Very easily fixed.

If it's running down within 10 hours of a full wind, it likely needs a service/replacement mainspring. If it's just after a full day's wear that it's running down, it may be that you're not active enough for it to stay wound?
