TAG Heuer Autavia Isographs Being Removed from the Market

I recently noticed the Autavia Isograph line is no longer on the Tag Heuer website. I just talked to my AD and he said Tag Heuer is quietly pulling all the Autavia Isographs off the market. I think they were having issues with production of the Isograph. They will likely relaunch the Autavias next year without the Isograph technology. I'm so happy I acquired one with the Isograph (but I hope I don't have any issues with it in the future). These might become more rare than an albatross. They were hardly available at all.

Yep. My AD was forced to pull the one he had in stock off the floor and ship it back.

Tourneau told me the same thing.

I've got an interview coming...

Can't wait to get more inside scoop and hopefully find out what the issues were. Will this affect the Nanograph tourbillon as well? The Tag Heuer website still shows that model as available. I realize they probably don't make many of those anyway, so maybe low production yields aren't an issue for that watch.

Well something's going on, they are all out of stock on the UK website and there's no 'Autavia' page anymore...

The Isograph Autavias still appear on the US TAG Heuer online store, but they are all out of stock if you try to buy one.

Hopefully the mechanism will hold for those who bought one.

This is very interesting. I have had the Autavia now for 2 weeks. I have worn it every day with the exception of this past Saturday and Sunday. The quality of the build is still amazing and I get compliments on it regularly.

However...I have been following the accuracy. Not so good. I don’t have any scientific equipment. This is just me regularly comparing to the atomic clock. When I wear the watch I am at +4 to +5 seconds per day if my wearing it for about 15 to 16 hours is extrapolated to 24 hours. That’s still within COSC...I was hoping for better (my Rolex Air King is +2 per day no matter what and believe it or not my Caliber 16 day/date Carrera is +1 per day). But, when taking it off at night weirdness happens! If it’s face up flat I pick up 8 seconds (in addition to the seconds I picked up during the day) in about 8 hours! If face down I pick up 5 seconds, crown up I pick up 6 seconds, and crown down I pick up 3. Again, this is over an 8 hour period in ADDITION to what I picked up wearing it all day long! It seems to keep it on COSC specs I need to have it on the wrist 24 hours!

Now, based upon the technology, it’s should not be magnetized, or affected by shock or temperatures.

I was hoping this would “settle in”. I have never had a watch do that until I had the Carrera. It was +5 for 2 months. Then went to +1 after I sent it for warranty work as the day wouldn’t line up completely. They fixed the day wheel but for some reason I have my most accurate watch in the Carrera now. Better than my Rolex.

Wonder if it’s a production issue or an issue with the carbon hair spring all together??? I hope we find out in Calibre 11’s interview.

That's likely exactly what's gonna happen. 🙁 Someone on the Watchuseek forum noticed some leaked photos of an upcoming Autavia Isograph Chronograph that was set to be released this winter. I would have to assume that model will either be canceled or produced without the Isograph.

Reminds me of the situation when Breitling pulled the Chronospace with the brand new B60 caliber from the market just after it was released. A few that kept it got issues with the movement acting strange and after some being repaired Breitling stopped fixing them and instead encouraged end buyers to sell their watches directly back to Breitling so they could get them off the market. A good example of new developed technology proving to have some sort of issues (we still dont know exactly what they were) resulted in dissapointed customers and a watch model line dead after that

edit: Chronospace as a model did not die at that point but the long sought after B60 watches never came back

I removed the picture, since these are under embargo.

Yes. My AD said Tag Heuer would buy back any models already sold to customers. I really want to hang on to mine. It has been performing well. I hope it stays that way.

Sorry to hear yours is acting weird. Mine has been a consistent +2 seconds per day since I got. However, it has been on my wrist or a watch winder the entire time.

Question is what happens if you have an issue with the movement in a couple of years, if the tech has been abandonded by Tag
