Clearly those two both want to compete with the Apple watch but don't have the ability to put together the physical case, bracelet and detailed finishing on a par with or a step above Apple's to compete in that higher price bracelet the Apple watch is sitting in compared to those Galaxy Gear watches in the past. Android Wear will actually be on a par with the Apple watch interface and give them compatibility with all the Samsung, Google, HTC etc phones out there. Intel definitely have the chops to handle the hardware side too.

It's good to know the smart watch will look like a Tag Heuer, and not some gadget to the likes of current smart watches.

·I consider the Apple watch as more fashion / gadget / lifestyle as opposed to a potential timepiece from TH.
Although I am an Apple user, I'm not really eager to get one.
Let's hope this new association will really bring out something worthy of all the excitement.
