If i may add another dimension on this discussion...

Where's Zenith ?!

Also, it's shocked me to see how "small" the turnover LVMH group in watch industry (unless if i read the graph wrongly).

If i remember correctly, an interview with JC Biver tells us that LVMH purposely places TAG Heuer as the “entry-level” luxury watch brand. Zenith as the “middle-entry” and Hublot as the “top-level” brand.

You can see that LVMH has significantly increased profit in the swiss watch industry as a whole through the years despite TH not “growing” over the past years so i guess it’s not that bad at all for LVMH. In my opinion, they have to play the market thinking of their other brands as well.

Though we want to see TAG Heuer slugging it out with the likes of Rolex and Omega etc. I still believe that TH has catered to from the simple up to the complex & to the digital realm (Quartz-CH02T-Connected) This strategy dilutes the “luxury” status of the brand but then again this propels innovation, ingenuity and “avant-garde”

The heightened “prestige” of other luxury brands doesn’t attract me to be honest, just because it is “more expensive” to start with but lacks “a story” and heritage. My love for anything motorsports made me choose and be loyal to TAG Heuer. And here TAG Heuer is KING! (Represented by the KING of COOL himself) 😎

Just my two cents 😉

Agreed, but why cut lines for models that produce greater profit margins. They're obviously doing something right looking at these numbers. I'm sure they also understand that once something becomes ubiquitous, it loses it's exclusivity.
Yeah; as this graph shows, their strategy is working amazingly well for both their sales and brand image.
