As I sit here “social distancing” and watching the snow melt......
If one had an extra stack of cash sitting around.... which Non-TAG direction would you go and why?
My mind houses back and forth from these 3 solely based on cool factor of all

Besides Omega, Tudor and Rolex I'd be seriously tempted by a Zenith El Primero 38mm or something from Grand Seiko.

Same here, though the El Primero Classic 1969 has sort of lost some of its appeal to me in the years since it first came out. Still, they can be had for around or just under US $5k with an AD discount, which isn't bad.

GS, I've definitely started thinking about as well, I actually like the case proportions of the "Heritage" Hi-Beat line. Problem is there are just so many variations, and none are just right for me. I also don't know that I'd feel that great about spending $6k on a dress 3-hander, at least not until I've satisfied a bunch of other desires.

Additionally, I see that prices for the original Dark Side of the Moon Speedmasters are coming back down to the 6k level....seriously tempting right now!

Other wants - I really want a few more IWC pilot's watches - namely, the new in-house Spitfire Chronograph and the Mark XVIII Tribute to Mark XI.

I tried on that omega a couple of years back, absolutely loved it.

I'm not a fan of the Explorer 2, because the Explorer 1 39mm is so fantastic and the 2 looses the beautiful simplicity.

The other watch on my list is the IWC titanium heritage:

Never regretted the purchase of the Seamaster before the „turbo-charged“ co-axial version appeared.
During social distancing desperately looking for toys in the house...

Of those 3, based on looks alone, I like the Blancpain. But if I were to actually buy one, I'd probably lean towards the Omega.

Agreed, although if it were my money I wouldn't buy any of them.

Zenith El Primero. Although i’d probably still get a TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 36 (which has an El Primero movement in it) 👍
