路I'm currently sporting my Tag Heuer 844/5 on a cheap metal bracelet that I found on Amazon.
For reference: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Polish-Shinning-Silver-Stainless-Release/dp/B076LYWFBH
Obviously this is sacrilege and I throw myself on your mercy.
However, this is the style of strap that I prefer, I don't like NATO, leather, or rubber straps, (I don't like the way they trap and retain water if they get wet), and I'm not a huge fan of the original "jubilee" type strap, or the "shark-mesh" metal straps.
My current cheap chinese strap isn't very good (the second, "locking" clip keeps falling open, and it "feels" cheap). I also don't particularly like the unlocking mechanism where two "buttons" protrude from the sides of the clasp, (but I can live with that if needed)
So, given that we're currently in lockdown, and visiting a jewellers is hardly "essential travel" (if any were even open), can anyone recommend either an actual strap, or a good online source for a strap (UK preferred), that would be an "oyster" type and suit the 1000 series nicely.
Unfortunately I mislaid the original jubilee strap (with the pin covers) many years ago, (I've had this watch from new).
