Strange recent interest in the Link Calibre 18

The Link Calibre 18 is in the news for some really odd reasons. By the way, I think it's a really under-appreciated 40mm chronograph.

Is the 'Fake Tradie' wearing a $7,000 TAG Heuer watch? Internet users say the fancy-looking timepiece worn by man in Liberal election ad proves he is no 'everyman'

(P.S. I'm not sure what is the monetary unit being used in that article.)

Typical Daily Mail article. Never let facts get in the way of a good story. If they can find anything to whip up a bit of outrage, then they will.

My main takeaway from that is there is a cal 18 link! Daily mail is a great example of why we need press reforms.

Yes, that's an Australian ad and I was asked to verify whether it was indeed a Calibre 18 Link- I don't think it is. The watch is probably a Link, but it looks too big on the wrist to be a Calibre 18 (remember, these are in the smaller case).

I do have a soft spot for this model...loved the smaller size
