To our strap changers, does anyone have recommendations for a spring bar tool?

I've always used a knife blade, but there has to be a nicer way

The Bergeon 6767-F probably fits the sweet spot between quality and price. I have one of those and another one (make unknown), but the Bergeon suits most strap and bracelet changes best.

I had bought lug pins with which i got a spring bar tool (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CYPVGWY/) - works perfectly for me. The main thing to consider is that the spring bar tip on the tool is angled (like in the pic below). That angle applies a little extra leverage making it easier to remove/install the pin.

Good move. I popped in here to say, spend the money - I've gone through a couple of the cheapo eBay ones and now I've just resorted to using the Omega one from one of the Speedy Tuesday sets. Way better

It’s the one I have and use. Slightly expensive but work compared to the cheap ones.

Although I do struggle with the BB58 due to the tight tolerances, need to buy the Bergeon tweezers I think, but don’t want to spend that much.

I also have the Bergeon 6767-F, which I use for straps. But their tweezer tool seems way too expensive. I use this one on my bracelets, like the BB58s, works just fine.

I also use the Bergeon 6111, its rounded edge is less likely to harm fine leather straps.

Do not buy the Bergeon tweezer tool. It's apparently designed for Rolex springbars specifically, which apparently have much smaller necks than regular ones. The Bergeon tweezer can't quite grip regular springbars unfortunately.
That was an expensive lesson for me

Good to know. I assume you're referring to the Bergeon 7825, right?

Because Bergeon also has another tweezer tool (6825) that looks similar to the one I got. It seems like it should work on most bracelets, but it's also around $200, which is quite pricey.

Speaking of ebay cheapo ones. Gotta make sure you don't get an ebay fako one. And I have no idea how that would be done. They even fake calipers and crap. Ugh.

You know, you'd think you'd get more for your money with those tools. But I got a bergeon Bracelet pin remover. And that thing is garbage. $250 garbage.
And as far as those tweezers. I can almost understand $200 for the bottom one. But $200 for the top one??? Why!

Yes. The other ones are probably OK, never tried them.

They’re titanium at least lol (so non-magnetic). But Bergeon is the top name in watchmaking supplies, and I guess they take advantage of that.

It's kinda like the Snapon of the watch world huh lol. My dad has been a watch maker for 60 years now. So I've rarely had to buy new tools. So I have no idea how that market works at all.
