·Here's a sparingly-worn CAW211A Steve McQueen Monaco, the 40th Anniversary edition from 2009, released to commemorate 40 years of the Monaco and McQueen. It comes with the full set of inner/outer box, papers, occasionally worn alligator strap, unworn perforated racing strap, immaculate McQueen book, hang tag & spring bar tool.
I'm looking for £SOLD, might be interested in trades or other offers - try me 😀 I'm based near Reading, UK and would be happy to conclude the sale in person, otherwise we can come to an arrangement over PayPal/shipping etc.
I bought the watch earlier this year and have worn it maybe a dozen times; the previous owner said he only wore it twice in 7 years since he got it from new. Looking at it under a loupe there are a few small marks in the polished finish but nothing visible to the naked eye and the crystal is unmarked.
Frankly, the "special" nature of this watch means I'm wary of wearing it at all, and that means it needs to find another home - I see no point of having something like a watch, car, musical instrument etc, that isn't going to be used.
This is one of the 1,000 special editions, it's 38mm (instead of the 39mm of the CAW211P - see http://www.calibre11.com/first-look-heuer-monaco-calibre-11-mcqueen-chronograph/ for more details).
Here it is next to the CAW211P (A on the left, P on the right):
This is the first watch I've ever sold - my watch buying & selling hobby has been all about acquisition to this point. I'm on quite a few watch forums (mostly here & OmegaForums) and Pistonheads under the same user id, and e3wan on eBay. Happy to provide references from others I've bought watches from if that helps.
