Can you get this nice red top to go with it?

36mm is the nicest one. 41mm was huge when I tried it. Also the hour markers are the same size on both and look a lot better on the smaller dial.

The silver seems less reflective too. The glossy black have always seemed so reflective

Anyone come across the King Seiko SJE083J1 yet? Seen a few pictures and it looks really special. Good size too. And a lovely silver dial. The lugs are maybe a little on the chunky side but I bet you don't notice them so much on wrist.

Looks nice! But I know too little about Seiko to not be confused about their branding. This is a Seiko King Seiko non Grand Seiko for $3400?

Basically, yes. But it's more of a Grand Seiko piece. Grand Seiko and King Seiko were originally both set up as competing factories with each other. Only the Grand Seiko brand was revived, so this is more of a nod to history.

Thank you, this makes everything crystal clear 馃榿

No but I understand the challenge in this area since Seiko produces everything and wants to cater to everyone. I just have never been interested enough to really nerd out on Seiko, but I know many watch collectors do and love everything about it

Get it, it's already the "King". You won't have to give it a nickname. 馃槈

After careful consideration it has been decided by the Church of Silver Dials that the Seiko SJE083J1 shall be rewarded the 'Sexy silver dial' award, one of the world's most prestigeous horological achievements.
