Should my Twin Time (old version) make the usual winding sound?

Got my first Tag and its a used '04 version Twin Time (likely from '08) (12 MONKEYS!). It seems to be keeping good time but if I try to wind manually there are no clicks, nothing. Cant tell if its actually winding or not. Shouldn't this make a sound?
