Shock Resistance of ETA 2824-2

I have a vintage (old) Tag Professional Exclusive with ETA 2824-2 movement. I am an avid cyclist 25 - 40 miles per day on a road bike.

Will riding my bike (vibrations and bumps) damage the movement assuming I don't crash?

Thanks in advance.

I am bumping this post because I didn't get any response. I'm surprised nobody knows the answer to my question?

Thanks again.

Well, just based on my opinion and experience, I think it should be fun. Sometimes i run with my Tag Heuer watch and although it not entirely recommended, it doesn't do any significant change to the watch.

Assuming that you don't crash, i am sure it is okay to wear your 2824 ETA. I am not sure how old it is though since you said vintage. Maybe sometimes it is just due service and not the shock and bumps factor.

Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Otto thank you for your response.

If it is not recommended for running then I doubt it's a good idea for cycling as it would be subject to a lot more shock and vibration than running. Thoughts?

I think running deliver more impact on constant basis. But i could be wrong since i am not a cyclist myself. I could ride a bike but i don't do sports using bike all i am saying.
