·Maybe I'm missing something but you state you have a 006 and your watch is stamped 007. Is the 007 reference just a different variation of the 006?

·while doing my research i have found quite a few 106's with 107 case back's, i'm guessing back in the late 1970's/80's it wan't really big deal. I also have what seems to be called a transitional dial. French 'professionel' spelling on a SWISS MADE dial. I do seem to be able to find quite a few of the Orange 107 dials with this spelling. Again i did read that perhaps these dials had 'Quartz' added to them retrospectively.

·Yes, given the way watches came out of the factory at Heuer it is not uncommon to have variation on the casebacks, particularly in the case of a .007 back being on a .006 watch.
The .006 was first shown in the 1981 catalog I believe, so as your serial is so low (assuming that is the case and it hasn't been partly polished off somehow) I would say that is when this was produced.

·Interesting. It has a non-tramline bezel and I was just discussing those this week with a Heuer friend. It looks like a nice honest piece. 😀

·Everything would suggest this is straight after the shift to manufacturer of the Monnin’s to Switzerland.
I’d go late 1980 just after production shifts and when the quartz changes from 844 to its own model reference. No 24h markers, Swiss Made, lack of cathedral hands, no tramline and no signed caseback all point to around this time I’d say.

·Hi Mark, I've spoken with a few people and yes, while far less usual the non-tramline bezel is seen in the .006 on occasion. Bearing in mind they were prevalent on the earlier 844s I would say your is an early .006 also so I'd agree with Gammba about the date range. (although the serial numbers and not thought to necessarily be in strict chronological order.)
It all looks legit to me and an interesting model. Enjoy it!
