IMHO & I know a lot of you guys love that watch. But my god it’s ugly & would be another fail by Tag. But least the WIS on here may be happy.
LOL. What?! 🫨Where's @mattp? 😒
To each his own. Like they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 🥰

I actually hope they don't make a faithful reissue. I'm supposed to be on hiatus from buying expensive watches this year. Kind of broke that self-promise with the KITH Heuer, but it really wasn't that expensive.

On both wrists!

I've said this before, I used to think they were ugly too. But now I think it has a cult status for me.

Funny, sort of the opposite for me. Back in the day, I thought they were the coolest looking watches ever. Now, I don't think they've aged as well as compared to the 1000 or 2000 series. Nevertheless, the Senna connection will always make it a special watch.

To each their own, as the saying goes - I personally really dislike the style of a few fairly well liked series (4000, 6000, Kirium, Formula 1 pre-2015).

For sure - they're classically simple designs. I always liked the S/EL bracelet (and Link) but I don't think I really appreciated the Senna S/EL until I had it on my wrist.

Reissue with ‘faux lcd’s’

Apart from the fact that I couldn't afford the S/el at the time, the watch was too Avant-Garde for me.
Now I'm longing for a new, brave TH model again.

The Link collection seems fairly forgotten at this point, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it is replaced by a new incarnation of the S/EL - adjusted to more contemporary tastes - that takes advantage of the Senna connection. A leather strap version is a must!

Honestly, at this point, I'm expecting nothing more than another F1 with the Legend bracelet and a strap option (the one with the Link/SEL imprint).

I'm guessing then the 'Racing Green' Monaco arrives at Monaco.

Would be a bit distasteful to launch a Senna watch at the track were he died.

Very good point.

It's one of the reasons I don't like to post about Senna's time at Williams or his TAG Heuer 6000 WH5151 very much. It just makes me sad.🙁

I dunno about this SEL thing. We've been through all this before, but now that TAG have shown they can just whip out an old case when it suits them... who knows. But still, the question of movement remains. If it's quartz it's not 'premium' but if it's auto then it's not the Senna watch. Plus I know it's a 'famous' watch but I can't believe they will remake it faithfully, but if they make it kinda sorta similarish, then it's probably gonna suck.

But then why would Julien say what he said if there wasn't something significantly more Senna than another F1 with a Link style bracelet.

Very curious to see how Julien's comments translate into whatever is released.

This watch, along with the return of the OG F1, have been the most intriguing in terms of what TH might actually do.

Oddly I like the link, if they made that in a 38/ 39mm 3 hander, think it would do well. The excursion of the design flows very well.
Unfortunately TH deem every watch to have a date which ruins the symmetry

TAG Heuer currently has an Instagram Story showing the various TAG watches worn by Senna. (All of which I've previously identified in the Senna thread.) Also shown in this Instagram Post.

However, seems like they're rewriting history a little with this picture.

First thing that's wrong is it's the grey dial, hence the reference should be S25.206. The reference shown S26.706C is of course the cream dial on brown leather strap, but that's not what's pictured.

The second thing that's wrong is the S/EL ana-digi models weren't introduced until 1989, so he never wore them in '88. In fact, in every photo I've seen of him racing during the '88 season he's wearing either a Casio or a Seiko (which I also documented in the Senna thread).

They should reach out to @Calibre11 . . . 🙁
Or me. 😉
Their Instagram post format looks strangely familiar to the one I did previously on May 1st. 😗

I hope they make a new Link line that is a bit more masculine than the present one and doing it a bit retro...

And chunky large chronos of 42-44 mm

Back in business. Fresh timepiece in it. The previous one gave cures. Luckily there was a spare in the house.

That's the ETA 251.252 movement, right? Do you know of a good source for these? Mine seems to be on its last legs, wouldn't mind getting a spare.
