I wasn't sure where to post this...

Does anyone know how to restore a sandblasted finish on stainless steel watch parts. Brushed finish, sure. Polished finish, sure, But sandblasted? When the grainy matt texture gets scratched it gets 'smoothed' and becomes shiny... Would a vibratory tumbler (ladies!) do the job: https://www.sandblasters.co.uk/index.asp?function=search&search=vibratory tumbler

Any thoughts?

Find a watch restorer who does sandblasting work. I wouldn't try doing it myself probably

Yes, I thought about hiring the equipment but I would probably ruin the watch parts. I thought the tumbler might be something I could borrow and potentially successfully operate! But I should probably just find a watch restorer.

Whatever sandblasting you are planning the movement should be out of the case.
