Any UK members in the South East go to this last night? Was invited (would've been my first one - & been extremely nervous, but child care issues meant I couldn't make it).

Was at a local Tag Boutique, and was showing some new pieces and historic ones from the museum from what I understand.

    Sounded like a good night.

Apologies for the misleading title and if people thought I went!

Unsure if you are a Red Bar Member or not, was only open to members of theirs. Saying that I've only recently joined and not been to any meets.

Seems like it would've been enjoyable, no idea what the usually specifics are, but from what I understand watch fans meeting other watch fans.

Whenever I hear about Red Bar I think about that bald guy who is famous for proudly telling a story on youtube about how he borrowed money from his mother to buy a IWC watch ::facepalm2:: buying unnecessary luxury goods on credit is noooot something to be proud of

Oh, the guy is active in the red bar community I believe, so thats the connection

Think I read that somewhere - wasn't it reference to the guy who started it, maybe it was in the book 'A man & his watch'

Adam Craniotes is the guys name. Seems like he's done pretty well for himself from starting the "Red Bar" meetups. He's now hanging with Wei Koh as an editor for Revolution magazine and seems to now be able to buy alot of watches. Pretty cool to take your passion/hobby and make it a lucrative career.

Never heard of this RedBar thing. Just searched their website for TH and come up with pretty much nothing, so they are obviously heavily invested in the brand.

It's just a group for Watch Enthusiasts.
All types if watches and brands.
I'm sure there might be at least one person with a Tag there.
They have groups all over USA and Europe.

If it was the boutique I think, it was a display of Aquaracer related vintage watches? The first day was "fully booked" and I think that was the RedBar thing. I went to see the watches later at the weekend.

Honestly, I would want to own nearly all of them! There was:

    Heuer 844 (1978)
    Heuer orange dial (1979)
Tag Heuer 1000 full lume dial (1988)
    Super Professional (1988)
    Aquagraph (2003?)
    1st Gen Aquaracer (2003)
    Calibre S Aquaracer (2007)

(I'm not sure about some of the dates listed)

I'm not enough of Tag nerd to know the specifics of the above, did you manage to get any pictures? I remember a few yrs back I was at that said boutique, looking at an Aquaracer chrono (3,6,9 version) with a pano style date. It was a big beast of a watch, but the sales assistant was the most beautiful sales assistant I've ever seen, she could have sold me a Jacob & Co I would've bought it!

I know who you mean, and I'm pretty sure she reads this forum, so don't forget to say hello :)

I'll try to upload some photos of the mini-exhibit from my phone, but I'm not much of a photographer unfortunately.
