Hello Calibre11 community, I have had for a long time this rather peculiar and nicely working Leonidas pocket-turned wrist watch (see attachements) but now I decided to dig into its history. Unfortunately, if I search on public Internet for this watch after its serial number - 17722 - I arrive at nowhere. So any help as to the history and possible age of this watch will be highly appreciated. I presume it was made before Tag Heuer took over Leonidas business. Cheers, Jekku
Dear Community, sorry to bother but can one get any tips based on the info at hand: wrist watch LEONIDAS 17722 as on photo, how to find more info about this watch, year, origin, price?
Looks like it could be a pocket watch conversion. I'm afraid I can't help with any information. I imagine it wouldn't be worth much unfortunately.
Thanks @imagwai , tracing the history of Leonidas watches even if i have the mechanism number aint easy , dont know if it had/has to do with Tag Heuer buying the Leonidas brand years ago or not.Ideally it would have been to get a peek at Leonidas watch registry to at least understand what year is the mechanism....etc
i wrote to https://www.leonidaswatch.com/leonidas-past-and-present lets see if they can trace this watch
