Rare 1970s Heuer Leonidas 429.801 Jacky Ickx Easy Rider Chrono + Helmet case and original Tropic Sport rubber strap

Presenting the sports watch fit for a racing icon, Jacky Ickx. The Heuer Leonidas 429.801 chronograph is Made in Switzerland around the early 1970s. Movement is manual wind movement, calibre 8420; featuring 17 jewels, hour, minute, second, date, chronograph functions. The chromium-plates case measures about 39mm. Original tropic sport strap is 18mm at lugs.

JUST RETURNED FROM SERVICE where it was internally inspected and cleaned. Timekeeping was calibrated as well. Functional manual winding, chrono start, stop, and reset. Date can be changed by rolling crown past 0300 and rolling back crown before 12am and rolling forward until desired date is arrived at. In very minty condition (pics serve as description) with minor traces of wear. Light superficial scratches on case back and crystal (hard to find and see).
