Question on TriStar Repair

I have a Tristar currently at Tag Heuer service. I just received the quote back for the major service, it is $300. I would like to know if others thing it is worth it? I can't really find much information on this model or it's value. I would probably sell it, as it's not my style anymore. Thank you.

A full service for $300 doesn't seem too bad.

Your dial looks different from the ones shown in TAG Heuer's 1987 catalogue. But if it's at TAG Heuer service, they should know if it's authentic.

I doubt these are worth a lot, so if you're not going to keep it, not sure that it would be worth it.

The quote is from Tag,
It's authentic, I bought it new and have the correct paperwork. Tag repair also says it's authentic. I have only seen a couple with the blue dial, though. What do you think I could sell ot for, after the service.

What raised an eyebrow for me was not the blue color, but that the TAG logo and text seems to have faded quite a bit. At first glance, I couldn't even see the logo in your pic. That might hurt its resale value.

A quick search of eBay shows several listed in the $300-$500 range. Others asking around $800+, but seems optimistic (IMHO). Unless something is broken, I'm not sure that a fresh service will give you the ROI you might expect if selling.

That's exactly my question and concern. I really don't want to I vest $300 in something that will really only be worth $300 to $500. The logo not showing up very good,is my poor photographer skills.

IIRC the logo and print is gold so that's probably why it's not showing up in the pic. Looks in nice condition, but aside from enthusiasts this isn't going to be attractive to many. $300 is about what I would expect from TH, which is fine if you want to keep it but not if you don't as it won't be worth much more than that.

Yes it is gold, I later found this pic out on the web of another one that shows the logo and print more clearly. When I first saw the OP's pic, I thought the dial looked blank. But after zooming in closely, I could see the logo and print was there (albeit faintly).

The blue dial does seem less common, but the ones that I've seen sold in the past went for under $300. Here's one that sold in 2022 for 225 euro (about $245 USD) as an example.
