Hi, I've just bought the above watch, pic below, but m awaiting delivery so don't know the serial yet.
I had a F1, bought new around 1997, and sold it around 2009. Due to being married to an Apple employee! I have have had Apple watches since they were released, but always wanted to return to a proper watch, hence my recent purchase!
Can anyone give me any background information on this particular model? Would it help with the serial number? Am I able to contact Tag/anyone else to find out it's age/history if I gave them the serial number?
Regards,
Simon.

The WD1211 was one of the original 1500 Series released and appears in the 1991 catalogue. I'm not too sure why you have that black paint(?) on the bezel at the 6 position... I've not seen that before I don't think. I doubt the serial number will tell you much as pre 1999 history seems very patchy to say the least. Nice watch, wouldn't mind a granite dial myself.

I think that might be a photo issue, if that part of the bezel is polished and it just happened to reflect in a strange way (as it is at an angle).

Lovely - a beautiful balance of satin & polished steel.
