Saw this in an auction results page, not the most outrageous sale. 130 Sorry unable to get link to function easily.
Crazy prices! And once the fabulous bling lord hits the market, the original dark lord will reach new levels of hype, right
Well I usually call it the gaylord but figured that might be offensive so I didn't want to put it in the forum in case someone actually liked this new bling Monaco
Think of Phillips more like an art auction house than a market-setting dealer. Any actual sale of a 74033N would likely be less than half this
As I've stated elsewhere, I suspect this will be a nice looking watch in its own right; likely better looking than some of the draft images that may have been floated around. However, since I do not believe it will be a proper Dark Lord re-edition, there are other watches I'd prefer for less money.
I mentioned this listing on the "auction discussion- vintage Heuer" thread earlier. Shortly after this sale another 74033 N sold on a dealer's site I'd been watching. In a much more beautiful condition too. Was originally listed for ¢79k+ and then gone for ¢69k+, if my memory serves me right. Stunning prices either way
