We've seen a few shots of this watch from the Geneva feeds. but time to create it's own thread- official release is February 8
That's always the risk, there'll be some NY Jets fans too that hear about Tom Brady being a brand ambassador and try to throw their watch at his head next time Patriots are at MetLife.
FIRST LOOK: 2017 TAG HEUER MANCHESTER UNITED CARRERA & FORMULA 1 by DC @Calibre11 https://www.calibre11.com/2017-tag-heuer-manchester-united-carrera-formula-1/
I can't quite believe how rubbish Man Utd's logo is. And I used to support them when I was a kid... on the upside, I'd like that strap for my Heuer 01 and the red lume is kinda cool.
Leaving aside the pointlessness of having a clear caseback and then printing all over it (Nismo is another culprit), it looks like it was drawn by a three year old.
To be honest, I don't like it at all, in my humble opinion putting a football/soccer club logo on the dial seems disrespectful to Carrera heritage. I know that others have done it, but I was hoping that it was a thing of past. I was determined to buy my second TAG - 43mm Carrera 01, but this put it on a hold for a bit, now I will have to get over a fact, that some of my money will ultimately end up in pockets of people who kick a ball for living.
It's a bit odd that TAG went the tasteful route with the Red Bull Formula One watch, with only the back of the watch engraved, but on the high end piece they went the tacky route... I don't get that. Especially as the devil isn't very aesthetically pleasing. To think, I thought the Red Bull logo on the face would be bad...
