With the Porsche family having the majority shares in the VW Group (in which Bugatti is part of), I really don’t find this unlikely.

Bugatti is quite a niche brand for the ultra-rich and the for the global celebrity status. In a world full of emissions regulations, electirication and with smaller force-induction engines, Bugatti might have lost its path. Porsche knows sports cars and I’m sure they can steer Bugatti into the right direction still in that ultratop niche market

If Bugatti is a watchmaker, it probably resembles RM Don’t you think?
