The Heuer 02 may well be superior, but I prefer the 6,9,12 layout personally, so I will be keeping my Carrera skeleton.

Hello my friend ! 😎....it would be appropriate to start a vote now between 6,9,12 vs 3,6,9 ::stirthepot::

Let the rumble begin !😁

I'll go with good old 3,6,9 😉

The downside of the 6.9.12 config is that it looks like a Cal16

I don't think I have a preference as I have both styles in my collection.

The 1887s that I own work because the running seconds subdial, at 9, is very discrete so the look more like a 6, 12 layout.

My Maurice Lacroix uses the Valjoux 7753 which is the 3,6, 9 variant of the 7550.

In many respects, I prefer 2 register chronographs such as the Calibre 36 or the Calibre 11/12/17 since it would be rare I would need to time something for longer than 30 minutes or so.

It depends on the watch, not on the configuration: I love the 3-6-9 from an Autavia HEUER 02 or a vintage Carrera, but I prefer the 12-6-9 from the Carrera 300 SLR (1887), Carrera Calibre 16, and Carrera HEUER 01 than the 3-6-9 from the Formula 1 Chronograph

But if I have to choose one, my vote is for 12-6-9

For me the 6,9,12 works better because it leaves space where you need it - for the date window. When you have a 3,6,9 window you end up with a 4.30 date and too much space around the logo.

I don't really get the point of this poll. It's like do you prefer blue or red?
But since the question was asked, 3-6-9 for me. 😀

LOL, depends on my mood and the context. For a suit, I'd take blue. For flowers for my wife, red. For a sports car, depends on the car and the particular shade of blue or red. I'd say the same for 3-6-9 vs. 6-9-12.

So which one for your wife?😉

My wife's favorite color is white.😜

Yeah, but a white 3-6-9, or a white 6-9-12? I'm guessing 6-9-12.... 😀

I just knew you'd say that, so I guess she doesn't have a favorite color and she doesn't like sub-dials at all.

Your answer should have been Gulf Blue, of course. 😉
