Great photos and short dialogue with JCB at the recent Monaco Grand Prix 2016. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/b...rix-2016-with-tag-heuer-ceo-jean-claude-biver
More recent interviews with JCB. Really good stuff. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/luxury/w...de-biver-on-taking-over-the-fine-watch-world/ http://en.worldtempus.com/article/industry-news/tag-heuer-interview-jean-claude-biver-2454802
The numbers listed on the ^ article for the Connected, don't match the previous figures, unless the referenced 80,000 units is a combined number for all TH watches.
New Reuters article on Tag Heuer dated June 11, 2016. It seems the 80,000 unit quote is actually referring to projected 2016 units demanded. Maybe that means authorized dealers have already bought 80,000? http://www.reuters.com/article/us-lvmh-watches-ceo-idUSKCN0YY01S While Biver previously expected to sell 40,000 to 50,000 of the connected watches, he said he now hopes to deliver 60,000 and is facing demand for 80,000 watches.
Some recent short video interviews with JCB. Both are excellent. 6-minute video dated April 5, 2016. At 3:20 in the video, he says that Tag Heuer sold 100,000 Connected watches. At 4:30, it appears he's wearing a Hublot Big Bang. Does anyone know what those showcase displays are at 5:30? Seems like they're magic 4-minute video dated April 11, 2016. JCB describes the motivation for Hublot's skeleton and all-black watches. Certainly the philosophies appear to have been applied to the new Heuer 01 and 02 models.
Great video of Born, they had those showcases also at their Hublot stand at Baselworld this year, as I experienced myself. I thought I came too close to the watch and it went down for security, haha, but now I know it was "magic" (at 5:39), haha!
