·So, my 1991 844/5 has been waiting for a new crown for a couple of months.
It has finally turned up from Cousins to the jewellers in Purley, and it doesn't fit.
The 'pipe' that goes into the watch body is apparently a different diameter than it should be.
Allegedly TAG have changed the diameter on the part.

I've been told the jeweller now has to find an old part to fit.
So, what would you do?
I'm very tempted to retrieve the watch, simply for peace of mind while he attempts to find a NOS crown, and look around myself too.
Does anyone have any recommendations for sources of genuine TAG 1000 parts?? (needles in haystacks would be easier)
I'm not even sure that sending the watch to TAG themselves would be a solution.
